Shantanu Kakde (US)

After some years shuffling across different cities and work profiles from radio to television, and on to telecom, Shantanu decided to pursue the visual medium and joined the eclectic New School University in New York. His thesis project explores his Indian roots with a meaningful effort at deciphering an extraordinary ancient facet of India, and the world. 'The Confluence' is an endeavour to create social awareness of the ‘Kumbha’, the oldest and largest gathering in human history.

Shantanu is based in sunny California and is a documentary filmmaker, photographer, DP, freelance editor, voice artist, and at times a language instructor.
