MEDIA, FILM
Comics or graphic novels or bande dessinee – call it what you will, storytelling through images and words is as old as human culture.
Writer Jai Undurti will take you on a journey to the mythical past, through the pages of Hyderabad: A Graphic Novel.
The project is at the junction of journalism, photography, and film – drawing on all their strengths, yet preserving a certain character and strength unique to the medium. See how a team of artists around the world came together to bring to life the Hyderabad of lore and legend – to recreate a vanished city.
Jai Undurti is the Creative Director of Syenagiri, and writer of Hyderabad: A Graphic Novel. He helped start Every City is a Story – a unique city-centric graphic storytelling initiative. His current projects include The Robots of Dharma, a series set in a dystopian India. His interests include science-fiction, chess, and travel-writing.
