Emmanuelle de Decker (IN)

French born Emmanuelle de Decker has been working in the music industry since 1998 in different cities like Paris, Tangier, Dublin, Seoul, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Emma moved to India in 2004 as the deputy director of Alliance francaise de Calcutta, and handled live music programming at the blueFROG venue in Mumbai and Delhi from 2008 till 2012.

In July 2012, she founded her own company GATECRASH, a consulting agency for managing music projects, touring international bands in India, curating bands for festivals and events and developing interactions between Indian and international music professionals.

GATECRASH is a music project management and artist curating agency based in Mumbai. 

We work with international institutions, Arts Councils and Embassies (like Pro Helvetia Swiss Arts Council, Wales Arts International, Music Norway etc) and advise them on music market development, touring artists in India, artist collaborations, PR, facilitate interactions between Indian and international professionals and conduct researches and workshops about the music scene in India. We also curate international and Indian bands for events and festivals.

And we're managing the online resource platform www.jazzinindia.com to build a jazz community, and support, promote and develop jazz initiatives in India.
